ROWiki:Copyright Policy

The following guidelines govern Regnum Online Wiki's use of intellectual property from NGD Studio, players of Regnum Online, and other third parties.

• Game Images: Use of ingame screenshots is encouraged. At the moment we do not use NGD's concept sketches, though this may change.

• Fan Images: Permission from the creator must be obtained before fan art is used on the wiki. For example, Piz's permission was secured to use one of his comics for the Ambush page. If more work from Piz was to be used in the future, premission would be obtained for each piece.

• Images and Text of Powers: All images and text regarding powers and spells must be exactly as they appear ingame. Even if the ingame text describing the power is incorrect (effects or details are wrong) it still must be reproduced exactly. Differences between a power's ingame text and what it actually does will be shown in the "Notes" section of each entry. Please see Sanctuary as a reference.

• Quests: Tasks required by a quest will be copied exactly from the game. The "story" of a quest, however, should be just a short summary of the quest text. This is done both to avoid copyright issues, and to summarize texts that are just too long to be helpful. Please see Family Zoo as a reference.

• Creatures: Same guidelines as Game Images.

• Game Items: For the sake of accuracy, the details of game items and equipment will be transcribed exactly as they are shown ingame; this will include all attributes and bonuses.
