Notes

Retaliation can help Archers survive, even at low power levels. Retaliation will reflect Damage Over Time spells, even while it is running and also reflect the next attack. The reflected damage will not consider the attacker's armor, thus it has great potential to reflect large amounts of damage to Barbarians. However, in order to use this power well, the Archer must have a lot of experience to predict incoming attacks. Mainly because the skill is lost when the character is hit by a non-damaging power like Feint.

Retaliation can reflect all the Damage Over Time being received since it is activated, until the next hit ,which is reflected as well. However, it will not be effective if a DoT skill is received when it is active: If the skill has a first instant damage (like Serpent Bite) it will be reflected, but the subsequent constant damage will not. If the skill has no instant damage (like Lightning), the initial effect (shown in violet in the combat log) will count as the first hit (even though it does nothing), and therefore all the damage will be taken normally.
