Tenax is a Dragon boss found nesting in the lowest pit of the Volcanic Zone, she is Ignis' exclusive dragon. Because of her high health values, damage and skills, she is one of the games more powerful foes.

Strategy

A group preparing to slay Tenax needs to be well prepared by bringing powerful defensive buffs, otherwise they will be at odds with her sheer amount of power. Dying during this battle can be grueling for the player since conjurers will not always be able to select or even notice if someone has fallen. Conjurers should bring area wide healing and spells and buffs to support the warriors that will be dealing the main damage, some skills that work nicely are:

• Greater Regeneration
• Greater Healing
• Mana Communion
• Mana Pylon

Pylons are usually crucial in diminishing the damage from Tenax's dragon stomp, Mass Dispell Magic can also be brought to remove it's knockdown effect. Additionally before the battle itself, mages (though usually just conjurers) can enchant their allies with supportive buffs like Bless and Bless Weapon. Warriors will be dealing most of the damage to the dragon, but can also bring skills to make the battle easier. Warriors using piercing weapons can bring Brain Piercing to cancel an incoming dragon stomp, or they can also take Defensive Support to reduce the chance of getting knocked down. Barbarians can additionally bring Unstoppable Madness for this same purpose.
