ROWiki:Research
The Research: namespace on the wiki has been created as a place to gather evidence and testing data on the game. This is in an attempt to increase the level of verifiability on the wiki. Where factual statements are made, particularly about game mechanics, references can be inserted into the article to pages from this namespace. This allows the reader to follow how these facts were obtained, and know which facts on the wiki have evidence behind them, instead simply not knowing whether a fact is true or not.
The rules for editing in the research namespace are broadly the same as for the main namespace, in that editors do not "own" a particular page. The pages may be added to or edited by any editor, though of course within reason: any large problems should be discussed on the relevant talk page. However, credits can be given to the player(s) that gathered the data if desired. You should try to keep the pages as well written articles rather than just dumping grounds for data.
Citation needed[edit source]
The {{fact}} template can be applied to any factual statement on the wiki that lacks evidence. This will add the classic [citation needed] tag, which links to this page. This tag should not be applied to statements that the reader feels are too subjective: instead these statements should be reworded and/or discussed on the talk page where appropriate.
