Ignis
The victory of the elves against the igneos was not a happy one. Many elves, even with help from the humans, had died at such destructive magic. For all this, some of them thought that in the future, it would be good to use the dark magic for the preservation of their beliefs. What they did not imagine is that they would be forced to use it against their peers. The now darkened elves, with support from the moloks, will not rest until they recover their former life, now a miserable stay in arid deserts.
The barren desert-realm of Ignis lies in the east of the world. It is filled with volcanoes, harsh mountains and endless seas of sand. Currently, its inhabitants include the Dark Elves, Esquelios (humans) and Moloks.
After the exile from Syrtis, the necromancer elves started a journey which would change them forever, followed by several humans. An obscure ritual darkened their skin and opened their eyes to a vision of a new land. After many months of wandering through harsh lands, eating the meat of dead ancestors to survive, the dark elves and esquelios, the new name for the humans who followed them, finally found this land. They allied with the native moloks and established the city of Altaruk, the inner realm's capital. Due to the knowledge of magic of the dark elves, the Ignean military has many powerful mages.
Reasons for War
It was not fair for the Wood Elves to exile them and force them through all those hardships. The Ignean forces want to reclaim their birth-right, the lands of Syrtis. One way, or the other.
The imperial military of Alsius seems to be taking advantage of the quarrel between the elven factions. They won't be allowed to force Ignis through more pain than they have already suffered.
