The Syrtian capital of Fisgael.

The oldest elves rested in peace at the "Lake of the Ancients" until the invading arrival of the igneos. With help from the humans, the inhabitants of the woods defended their land upon victory, getting the books of dark magic that the igneos practiced. Many of the elves wanted the magic of destruction out of their territory forever, even if that meant expelling and preventing the return of some of their own brothers until today.

The forest realm of Syrtis lies in the southwest of the world. Currently, it is inhabited by Wood Elves, Half Elves and Alturians (humans). This realm is the oldest of them all, and before the great war, its inhabitants, including the future dark elves, lived in harmony. However, the Igneos soon attacked the realm. After the Igneos were defeated, books on the practice of dark magic were found. Some of the elves wished to use this dark magic to their advantage and destroy any future attackers, but Lemoral the Prophet had a vision of the consequences which would occur should the elves take up this dark magic. Some mages, however, were not convinced and the Syrtians proceeded to drive them out of their land. The exiled mages were driven to the east.

This division devastated the elves and they soon allied with the alturians. Due to this new alliance, a new race was produced, the offspring of an elf and an alturian: the half elves.

Reasons for War

Today, the elves seek only to protect their forests and cities including the inner realm capital of Fisgael, but have been forced to launch many counter-attacks against Alsius and Ignis.

The Ignian forces seek ruthless revenge upon the fair judgment of the prophet. They will not rest until they take over the ancient forests.

The imperial Alsirians advance from the north, jealous of the great and rich soil of Syrtis. They are driven by greed and look for gold to steal and land to conquer.
