Static Field is a quite useful aura, though it is rarely seen because it is located in a somewhat unused discipline. Everyone at 6 meters from the [[Mage]] have their movement speed reduced, which doesn't only make an incredible way to escape from melees but also a great way to avoid ''they'' escape. However, it has a rather small area which makes it difficult to use.
Note that Static Field will break a [[Stun]] thus rushing into a group which a [[Barbarian]] just used [[Deafening Roar]] on might not be the best idea.

Static Field is a Mage power: the 5th of the Staff Mastery discipline.

The Mage creates an energy field that reduces the movement of all enemies who enter it.

Notes
